USMC Venom and Super Cobra Live Fire Exercise | Video

In this U.S. Marine Corps video, UH-1Y Venoms and AH-1W Super Cobras assigned to Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One (MAWTS-1) conduct an Offensive Air Support live fire exercise during Weapons and Tactics Instructor Course (WTI) 2-16. WTI is held biannually at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Yuma in the southwest corner of Arizona. During WTI, Marines receive in-depth, detailed training practiced through exercises on nearby ranges in Arizona and California. The curriculum includes mission planning and briefing; tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs); and ultimately the live employment of weapons in multiple scenarios, which can be seen in this video by Lance Cpl. Christopher D. Thompson.
