This video is of the Festo Corporation‘s BionicOpter,  which has “technically mastered the highly complex flight characteristics of the dragonfly” according to the company. The ultralight ornithopter “can fly in all directions, hover in mid-air and glide without beating its wings.” The UAV, which can be piloted via smartphone, is nowhere near as small as a dragonfly, but successfully mimics the way the insect controls its flight.
