A video released by the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) shows the successful flight test of the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) system on Sept. 18. The test was conducted by the USS Lake Erie (CG 70) and involved the interception of a short-range ballistic missile target over the Pacific Ocean by a Standard Missile (SM-3).
