SOCOM Commander Adm. William H. McRaven described his four “Lines of Operation” for United States special operations forces during the opening of the general session at the Special Operations Forces Industry Conference (SOFIC) and concurrent International Special Operations Forces (ISOF) Week.

The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) presents SOFIC yearly in Tampa, Fla. This year, the International Special Operations Forces Conference is running concurrently with SOFIC, and McRaven invited delegates from 96 nations to attend the conference. SOFIC’s theme this year is “Building the Global SOF Partnership.”

Following his remarks McRaven answered questions from the audience, including those from Consulting Editor John D. Gresham and Senior Writer Maj. Gen. Richard Comer.
