PLEXSYS Interface Products UK Ltd is excited to be awarded the C2 E-3D Rear Crew Trainer (RCT) Service Delivery contract by the UK Ministry of Defence, Flight Simulators and Synthetic Trainers (FsAST) Portfolio Team, effective August 06, 2020. PLEXSYS will provide a synthetic Mission Training System for the UK MoD as part of Phase 1 of the Defence Operational Training Capability (Air) programme (DOTC(A)), located at RAF Waddington.
PLEXSYS is pleased to provide a total technical and fully supported C2 E-3D RCT solution for the UK MOD, enabling team and collective training across the plan, brief, execution, and debrief cycle. The RCT will be equipped to allow crews to train and debrief locally or across the wide-area network in a collaborative distributed environment with other synthetic or live trainees.
This contract follows on from the firm foundations set by PLEXSYS in support of the Defence Synthetic Air-Land Training (DSALT) programme, where PLEXSYS provided excellent systems availability and training support to the E-3D Mission Crews for the past ten years. The PLEXSYS reputation was further enhanced in the UK through the provision of the Advanced Simulation Combat Operations Trainer (ASCOT), which was used as a significant Computer Generated Forces (CGF) training tool for RAF, Army, and RN during distributed training and noted for its capabilities.
In the near future, the PLEXSYS service delivery of the C2 E-3D RCT trainer as part of DOTC(A) will enable the RAF to adopt a distributed approach to synthetic collective training, with front-line E-3D operators using the RCT to access a common immersive synthetic environment within which they can achieve collective training requirements with other platforms and users.
