Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding and Saab are partnering to bid for a Brazilian navy project for four Tamandaré-class corvettes, according to a Damen press release.

Damen will supply the Sigma 10514 platform, variants of which are being procured by the Indonesian navy. Saab will be responsible for providing and integrating its Saab 9LV combat management system, adaptable to a range of platforms and known for its flexibility and easy integration of third-party modules.

In addition to supplying the corvettes, the partner companies are proposing a technology transfer program for much of the project, which will benefit Brazil’s national defense industry.
