The U.S. Navy made history on July 10, 2013, when a Northrop Grumman X-47B Unmanned Combat Air System-Demonstrator (UCAS-D) made an arrested landing aboard the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77). This was the first arrested landing by an unmanned aircraft aboard an aircraft carrier. These were the first photos of the event to be released by the Navy.
